New DOE Grant w/ Short Turnaround Time

New DOE Grant w/ Short Turnaround Time

Earlier this week, DOE announced $90M in a second round of RECI grants. These grants are available to any AHJ that has recently updated or will soon update its energy code. There’s no minimum requirement for the updated energy code (it does not have to meet or exceed the 2021 IECC). Funds can be used for pretty much anything code related. Anyone can lead applications but at least one state/territory/tribe dept must be a partner. ICC is part of 8 RECI grants from last round, so this program presents a very good opportunity for us to participate with any grant applicants.  The deadline for concept papers is April 5th. ICC is interested in leading applications to: support an analysis of the IgCC’s GHG benefits to aid decision makers considering adoption; develop software tools to simplify IECC compliance for builders; and develop software tools to streamline IECC permit review by AHJs. If you are interested in exploring this grant opportunity, let me know and we can set up a time to discuss.  I apologize for such a tight turnaround…however, here is another grant opportunity that I would hate you to miss out on.
